Before You Pay for a Vector Logo: How to Know It’s Not AI or Auto-Trace

Not all “vector” files are the same.

Some logos are carefully cleaned and redrawn by hand. Others are made quickly with auto-trace or AI tools. They may look okay at first, but the quality can fall apart when you zoom in or send them to print.

I created a sample logo file you can download and zoom into so you can see what cleaner manual vector work should look like.

Use it as a simple quality check before using your logo for shirts, signs, decals, embroidery prep, banners, business cards, or promo products.

How to check:

  1. Download the sample logo file.
  2. Open it and zoom in close.
  3. Look at the smooth edges, clean curves, letters, and small details.
  4. Compare that to your own logo file.
  5. Watch for blurry edges, jagged lines, lumpy curves, distorted letters, or messy shapes.

A clean vector logo should still look smooth when you zoom in.

Download the sample PDF and zoom in closely to see how clean manual vector artwork should look.
